Municipal Court Schedule

Court is held every Wednesday at 9:00 am in the Courtroom at Clinton City Hall. Specially scheduled night court is held the 3rd Monday of each month at 5:00 pm. Court schedule may vary due to holidays. Please call the Court Clerk’s office to verify times.

What type of payment is accepted by the Court Clerk’s office?

Cash, money orders, and credit cards are the only forms of payment accepted. We do not accept checks.

What if I cannot pay my ticket in person?

You may make your payment online by clicking on the red “Pay Other” button at the top right of this page. You may also make your payment with a credit card over the phone by calling the Court Clerk’s office during normal business hours.

What should I wear to court?

Proper and respectful attire is requested for court appearances. Please remove hats when addressing the court.

What if I cannot make my scheduled court date?

Contact the Court Clerk’s office as soon as possible, prior to your court date, to reschedule.

What if I do not want to appear before the judge?

If you do not want to appear before the judge, and your case/charge does not require a mandatory court appearance, your fine must be paid in full prior to the start of your scheduled court appearance date and time. If you would like to inquire about whether your case requires a mandatory court appearance, please contact the Court Clerk’s office.

What will happen if I do not appear for my court date?

If you do not appear for court and/or your fine is not paid in full prior to your court date, an arrest warrant will be issued by the Court Clerk’s office. A warrant fee of $25 will be imposed at that time. After 60 days of no court appearance and no payment of fines, the case will be sent to collections and an additional 35% of your fine total will be added to your balance.

What cases are handled by the Clinton Municipal Court?

Municipal court handles citations issued by City of Clinton Police Department only. Citations issued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are handled by the Custer County District Court located in Arapaho, Oklahoma. You may reach them by phone at (580) 323-3233.
