CITY COUNCIL

The City of Clinton operates within a council–manager form of government. This system of local government combines the strong political leadership of elected officials — in the form of a council — with the managerial experience of an appointed local government manager who oversees the delivery of public services. Council members also act as trustees on the various city authorities. Council members serve a four-year term. The Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month to conduct city business.
