History of Acme Brick Park:

The Acme Brick Plant was purchased in 1944 and it was the first plant purchased in a decade due to the Great Depression. It closed its doors in 1986. The City of Clinton purchased the property that the plant occupied, including the buildings where bricks had been made for decades. After purchasing the property, the City of Clinton developed it into Acme Brick Park Fitness Center.

About Acme Brick Park:

Acme Brick Park Fitness Center is the crown jewel of Clinton’s parks, featuring a miniature train ride, a one-mile nature trail winding around two ponds that are stocked for fishing, a 68-acre irrigated and lighted playing field area, a memorial wall to honor veterans from our community, indoor fitness facilities, and more. It is the home of the administrative offices for Clinton Parks & Recreation.

The facilities inside Acme Brick Park include a fitness and racquetball center, enclosed walking track, batting cages and several basketball half-courts. The fitness center contains a cardio room and a weight room. Cardio equipment includes treadmills, elliptical trainers, recumbent bicycles, cycling bicycles and a rowing machine. Weight equipment includes an entire circuit of select weight machines, dumbbells (3 lbs-100 lbs), and bars/barbells along with several benches.

Our indoor facilities can be rented for birthday parties, baby showers or other family gatherings. To reserve the facility, please contact the front desk at 580-323-4572.
